GEG enter the diagnostics market - 10.04.08
Nationwide garage equipment consortium Garage Equipment Group (GEG) are now expanding their product range into diagnostic equipment. Group Chairman Carl Allenson has joined forces with diagnostics expert Andrew Dimond to form GEG Diagnostics Ltd.
GEG Diagnostics will operate under the same corporate identity as Garage Equipment Group but specialise in sales and training of diagnostics. As well as working alongside existing UK manufacturers such as Texa and Launch, GEG Diagnostics will also be distributing its own range of tools branded as the ‘Easi’ range. The Easi range of diagnostic tools have been developed and tested by Andrew Dimond to ensure they are the most efficient tools currently on the market.
The Easi range own range of tools will be manufactured exclusively for GEG Diagnostics. To cater for the expected high demands for GEG Diagnostic equipment, Carl and Andrew have purchased the adjoining property to the GEG headquarters to build a customised training academy. The Training Academy will give our customers the opportunity to really get to grips with our products and understand exactly how to use them.
‘GEG has been so successful over the last 2 years the most obvious step to take next was to expand our market share into diagnostics, especially with the years of expertise from Andy Dimond. With GEG Diagnostics you can buy anything from a small code reader right up to a full dealership tool.’ said Group Chairman Carl Allenson. Technical Director Andy Dimond added ‘I have over 15 years of experience in diagnostics and have developed the Easi range to be the most user friendly and efficient diagnostic tools on the market. Our on site free demos combined with sessions at our custom built training academy mean our customers will be able to use their tools straight away and start making profit with no hassle’.

Garage Equipment – My Arse! - 02.07.07
The nationwide garage equipment consortium headed by Carl Allenson, otherwise known as Garage Equipment Group, has just installed a full range of equipment at Royal Motors in Speak, Liverpool. ‘So what’s so royal about this garage workshop’ we here you ask? The answer lies in one of the shareholders. Royal Motors has a financial interest from none other than Ricky Tomlinson, otherwise known as Jim ‘My Arse’ Royle, from TV’s The Royle Family.
The equipment installation was followed through by Garage Equipment Group distributor – Peninsula Garage Equipment, and included vehicle lifts, a tyre changer, wheel balancer and a Class 7 Automated Test Lane.
When asked on his experience of meeting Ricky, GEG Chairman Carl Allenson replied ‘He’s a real down to earth relaxed person, so relaxed he had a couch in the middle of the work shop! Jokes aside, he’s a nice guy and is friends with the owner, Harry Walsh. I’m pretty sure there won’t be much sitting around on couches when business kicks off for Royal Motors!’
